Arthur majored in Speech. He was a member of Sigma Delta Pi, the French Club and sang in the Choir. Arthur earned a master’s degree from Northwestern University in speech pathology and theatre. He taught at The University of Tennessee, where he started a speech correction program, and Kent State University’s Speech and Hearing Clinic. Arthur’s ex-wife, Helen Philips Kaltenborn ’42, predeceases him.
