Obituary for Richard H. Horton x’43

Dick graduated from Case School of Applied Science and worked as a design engineer for General Electric for 35 years. He was instrumental in developing a hand-held laser, the J79 jet engine and fuel nozzles for jet engines. Independently, he invented the Space Age Mercury Capsule Paraglider and a snow shovel with wheels. His sister, two children, and one grandson survive him.
