Dorothy majored in sociology and in 1941 received her MS in social services from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as an executive director for Home Health Aid Service and was on the advisory boards for Beaver County Office on Aging and the Regional Home Health Medical Center. She was once nominated for Beaver County Times “Woman of the Year.” Dorothy’s four children, including Mary L. Schecter ’68, and several grandchildren survive her.
