Mary Jane Tenny ’55

Mary Jane majored in English. While at Wooster, she participated in Freshman Apprentices, the David Brainerd Society, I.V.C.F., United Christian Fellowship, the Voice student newspaper, and Spanish club. She went on to be a seventh grade English teacher in Alliance. She then attended Toronto Bible College to receive her diploma (1959) as a missionary, after which she became a missionary and teacher in Colombia, South America. Upon returning to Florida from South America, she worked as a caseworker for Florida Family Services and then as an eligibility specialist for Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services. She enjoyed writing letters, reading, doing needlework, and being actively involved in church activities. Mary Jane’s friends and companions survive her.
