Obituary for Helen Bissman Corbell x'69

Marysville, Washington

August 14, 2011

Helen attended Wooster and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University with a degree in elementary education. She was a member of Volunteers in Service to America, and she and her husband, Ronald Ray Corbell, worked as foster parents for Franklin County Children’s Home. Later, Helen spent much of her life in Newport, Ore., volunteering and substitute teaching. She was a den leader for the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and eventually employed at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Helen battled breast cancer for over two years. Helen is survived by her three children, three siblings, and three grandchildren.
