Other Endowed Funds

A strong endowment is essential for the continued strength and health of The College of Wooster. The permanent provision that an endowment provides ensures that the College’s mission will be fulfilled with distinction, that Wooster’s faculty will remain outstanding teacher-scholars, and that future generations of students will benefit from a Wooster education in perpetuity. Below is a list of endowed funds that will help provide enduring support in areas vital to Wooster’s relevance and excellence now and in the future.

Research Endowment
A gift of $500,000 or more can establish a donor-named endowment that will provide research funding for new and current faculty, allow students and faculty to engage in creative and collaborative research, enable students and faculty to present their research at regional and national conferences, and support student access to research opportunities throughout their undergraduate years.

Faculty Salary Endowment
A gift of $250,000 or more can establish a donor-named endowment that is budget relieving and will support the salary of a faculty member at Wooster regardless of academic interest or department.

Academic Endowment
A gift of $100,000 or more can establish a donor-named fund that supports equipment needs or the needs of a specific department or program on campus.

Unrestricted Gifts to the Endowment
An unrestricted gift to Wooster’s endowment allows the College to use the annual income where it is needed most.
