Obituary for Sarah Smith Johnson '47

A chemistry major, she sang with the Glee Club and choir. Sarah married Paul S. Johnson ’48 in 1947, and they moved to Philadelphia, where Paul studied psychiatry. Sarah worked as a certified biofeedback therapist in Paul’s practice and elsewhere. The couple volunteered with the Presbyterian Church in India (1989-91). Sarah enjoyed walking, tennis, and swimming and was involved in her church. Four children survive, including Eric P. Johnson ’81, as do eight grandchildren. Paul died in 2005.
