Class Officers


Class officers act as a liaison between their classmates and the College. Officers are elected every five years at Alumni Weekend and hold five year terms.

Maintain regular correspondence with the Office of Alumni Relations to report on the activities of your class.

Manage class notes for the Wooster magazine: actively solicit your peers for news and submit quarterly updates to the College by the deadlines. 

Contact classmates personally to maximize class efforts and participation in College events and annual giving.

Know the deadlines for the Wooster Magazine class notes and submit your class notes by the deadline.

Actively solicit news from your peers and share with the class secretary for publication in the Wooster magazine. 

Conduct a variety of communication initiatives, including sending holiday cards or emails, calling or visiting classmates, and enlisting the help of other class members to gather information. 

Make sure the Office of Alumni Relations has an accurate email address on file for you and that you check your email regularly.

Provide an important example to other classmates by giving consistently to The Wooster Fund, early in the fiscal year.

Attend Wooster activities and events in your local region.

The year leading up to reunion

Work with Alumni Relations & Annual Fund staff to coordinate the class reunion (giving, events, and attendance). 

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading a reunion committee
  • Participating in the fall reunion planning workshop held on campus
  • Assist in planning class specific reunion events 
  • Making a gift to The Wooster Fund
  • Reaching out to classmates to encourage reunion giving and attendance
  • Write class solicitation letters during the year of your reunion
  • Thank classmates for their gifts to the College with a personal note, email or phone call
  • Attend your reunion during Alumni Weekend
